Nayha's Story I don’t know where to begin to start thanking you for your kindness and care you have shown to my mother and me. You took my mum into your hotel in a dire state of emergency at 9 pm at night. She was scared, alone and stranded in a foreign country while her husband fought for his life in the hospital. From the thorny bush comes forth a Rose, and you were that beautiful rose for us. There was a sense of calm that we felt and needed, to be able to handle the situation we were thrown into. Everything is so well thought of and organised and we are so thankful that we found you and were able to stay there as long as we did. The support we got for 6 long weeks was incredible. From the 100+ forms I needed to fill, scan and email, to giving me touristy tips, to the fully equipped dining area, the shuttle service, the beautiful outside sitting area, the lovely clean rooms, the councillor who listened, the kind staff that I have been fortunate to cross paths with during my stay, and lastly my absolute highlight, the gorgeous Deers, (who brought with them that little extra positivity), you have got it all. The best package all in one. It’s perfect. Being around people who all have a loved one in hospital, made it easier to be ourselves and feel the emotions when we felt them. We met some lovely people along the way. We took comfort in knowing we’re not alone. Everyone had their own stories of struggles and these connections were important in getting through this incredibly hard time. I tell everyone that it was possibly the worst situation but in the best place. If you are wondering what happened to the mother daughter duo, well once we left Hearts Together, we took the flight next day (which was delayed by 6 hours partly due to the delayed arrival of the incoming flight and partly since they were struggling to put the stretcher for my dad on the flight). However, we were just happy and emotional to be on the flight back home. Upon reaching India, my dad spent 2 days in a local hospital and then finally came home. He is now recovering at home and doing a lot of physio and OT to get his mobility back. Adjusting to a new life for now. After spending a week in India, I finally returned to Sydney last week to my family. I received a very warm and emotional welcome. Apart from the terrible jet lag I am slowly getting back into the swing of things. The care we have received in the hospital and at your hotel has been amazing. There is a lot to be thankful for on our journey and you are number 1 on that list. I don’t know what we would have done especially being tourists in a new place. Thank you for being who you are and doing what you do. Thank you for the service you provide to so many people who need it. Thank you for showing your compassion, care and concern each and everyday to so many of us who need it. You are all AMAZING. You are always going to have a very special place in my heart. Forever. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! God bless you all. Manage Cookie Preferences
