A Big Volunteer THANK YOU! We recently said a BIG team thank you to two of our fantastic long-standing Volunteers, Steve and Cathy! Every year we like to shine a spotlight on our fantastic and dedicated volunteers and say THANK YOU! About our Volunteers Cathy is a valued member of our Guest Services Housekeeping team, helping keep our rooms and shared spaces pristine for families facing incredibly difficult times. Compassionate, reliable and always willing to help, she brings warmth, care and kindness to everyone she meets. Steve is our much-loved maintenance volunteer who can turn his hand to almost anything. Calm under pressure and endlessly helpful, he’s saved Hearts Together time and money — and even helped coordinate a team of 15 volunteers to refresh 12 bedrooms in record time! Steve and Cathy are truly valued members of our Hearts Together family, and we are so grateful for everything they and all our volunteers do. We are always looking for meaningful ways to say thank you to our volunteers and Room to Reward is fantastic in giving us that opportunity, providing a well-earned break-away for volunteers, so that they can take some for themselves having given so much to others. The team very much enjoyed presenting them with their certificates and having a catch-up over some tea and cake!
