Exciting volunteering news with Discovery College Plymouth Did you know that we work closely with Discovery College Plymouth, providing volunteer placements for their students here at Hearts Together Hospital Hotel! Since November we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming Tiana and Annalea as part of their 120-hour volunteering placement. Tiana and Annalea have jumped right in, working closely with our Guest Services team to keep our rooms spotless and inviting for our guests. They’ve been taking on tasks like dusting, wiping surfaces, and vacuuming, all with care and attention to detail to ensure a welcoming environment. But their contributions don’t stop there! They’ve also taken on a social media research project to help us better understand how to connect with our community and especially our younger community online. From tracking trends and analysing how others engage with their audiences, to brainstorming fresh content ideas, they’re already uncovering ways we can improve. Later in their placement, they’ll present their findings to our team, and we can’t wait to hear their ideas! We’re committed to making sure Tiana and Annalea get the most out of their time with us and by actively supporting their personal and professional development, helping them to achieve their goals. To top it off, we’re providing them with CPD courses tailored to their interests and future careers, so they leave us with skills and experiences that will benefit them for years to come. It’s been a joy having the young volunteers on board, and we’re so excited to see what they achieve during their placement.
