Lifetime Achievement Award Hearts Together, were proud to celebrate a truly extraordinary milestone: Henry and Jeannie Clark, the husband-and-wife duo behind The Dancing Duo, have raised a remarkable £25,000 for the charity across 25 consecutive years of dedication, generosity, and joy. To mark this once-in-a-generation achievement, Hearts Together was delighted to attend The Dancing Duo's most recent event during Wear It Red week and present Henry and Jeannie with a very special Lifetime Achievement Award - a recognition as rare as the people who earned it. For Henry and Jeannie, dancing has always been about more than the music. Based in Torbay and hosting classes across the region including at Elm Community Centre & Wellbeing Hub in Estover, Plymouth, The Dancing Duo have become a familiar and much-loved part of Plymouth’s community, as well as across the wider South West. Over the past 25 years, they’ve brought the joy of ballroom, Latin and sequence dancing to countless people—through weekly socials, special themed evenings, and popular dance holiday breaks at some of the region’s finest coastal hotels. But threaded through every event, every foxtrot and every waltz, has been something deeper: a commitment to giving back. Year after year, Henry and Jeannie have channelled the warmth and generosity of their dancing community into support for those who need it most - the patients, carers, and families staying at Hearts Together's hospital hotel near Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. Their commitment to Hearts Together has grown into one of the most enduring fundraising partnerships in the charity's history. Hearts Together provides a home away from home for patients, carers, and relatives travelling to receive medical care and urgent treatment in Plymouth. The charity's hospital hotel offers comfortable accommodation just minutes from Derriford and Nuffield hospitals, alongside counselling, peer support and wraparound care - helping families stay close together at the most difficult moments in their lives. Every pound raised by The Dancing Duo over 25 years has contributed to keeping doors open, lights on, and families together. The generosity of fundraisers like Henry and Jeannie is at the very heart of what Hearts Together does, supporting people the most difficult of times. The Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Henry and Jeannie is a recognition of what it truly means to champion a cause not for a season, not for a year, but for a lifetime.
